Is this just compression artifacts?

I’ve noticed that some files I play via Infuse (on a Sony laser projector) will show blocky/pixillation, usually in dark areas. (Attached photo exaggerates this a bit, but hopefullly you get the idea).

I’m curious – is this just a compression artifact (file type .mkv)? This doesn’t happen on every mkv file – most look great. Alternatively, does it have something to do with the projector or the AppleTV 4k?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Can you check to ensure the Match Content options are enabled?

Having these on will ensure Infuse is able to match the video output to the video being played.

Thanks for this tip! Problem solved. “Match content” was turned off. I’ve always had it on. It must have flipped to odd after a software update.

Thanks again.
