I’m using Infuse Pro 8.3.2 on iPadOS 26.1.
I just bought a new iPad Pro M5 and I’m syncing my Infuse library from my iPad Pro M1. Everything seems to have synced OK, but fetching artwork lasted a long time (about 6000 items), which is kind of understandable since it includes images, and as I understand from searching here this doesn’t get synced via iCloud.
I thought fetching “details” do get synced by iCloud though? That’s taking even more time. It seemed to go faster at first, but right now it’s advancing at about 1 per minute or so, it got through the first few thousand quicker (but still slow considering it’s only downloading metadata), but then in the mid-4000’s I noticed it was going very slow, and after about 5000 it got really slow.
Where is this syncing from? TMDB? And if so, is there some rate limiting? I have turned off embedded artwork, and only metadata fetching is on. All my other devices (2 ATV 4K’s, one iPad mini and the old iPad Pro M1) are synced fully via iCloud.
This is the second time I’ve tried, I was connected before on work WiFi which is about 700Mb/s download or so at the iPad’s end. But now I’m home and connected it to wired Ethernet, on a 1 Gb down connection, and it’s the same.
