did they come up with an untethered break yet?
There has been an untethered jailbreak for the 4.4.4 release from shortly after it was first available.
The issue is that since Apple is no longer signing that release you can only install the 4.4.4 version if you have signatures for that release on your device. If you have an unjailbroken device running 4.4.4 firmware it is now possible to use iFaith to extract the signatures for your device.
Ya… what i meant was - is there an untethered break for 5.0 yet? i havent checked here in a few weeks… any new developments??

No. There have been suggestions that suitable exploits have now been found, but no ETA for them being made into a usable jailbreak.
