Right now anytime I transfer my media to a new drive, change the name of the folder my videos are in, change routers, or anything that disturbs the natural order of things Infuse has to download the metadata for all the video files again. When you have 3000+ movies like I do this can take a while. And then there’s the times where I get a message saying my Apple TV storage is running low and infuse had to purge my metadata. Is there some way that infuse can save this type of information into a folder on the drive that’s serving the media?
Not at this time. You might want to start a thread in the suggestions forum for that though.
As to ATV purging data, that at least will be mostly backed up to iCloud so that won’t take long to rebuild.
There is no way to have Infuse save the metadata to the network drive, but there should be.
Feel free to add your support also the a thread in the suggestions forum. Let Infuse use a NAS as the backup point
