Is it possible to upgrade atv2 v4.4.4 (3330) to 5.2

Hello everyone 

i wanted to enjoy the benefits and convenience of a bluetooth keyboard rather than the boring atv silver remote. So i bought a standard technet bluetooth keyboard and installed btstack to my atv2. By the way my atv2 has version 4.4.4 (3330) software.

While btstack was able to locate my keyboard it failed to pair. This left me very dissapointed!

i emailed firecore support about btstrack not pairing and they replied saying it will only work with ATV v5.2 or later. 

Now my question. Considering my software version… is it possible to upgrade to 5.2 without losing my jailbreak to the original apple firmware?  People are saying that apple are not signing certain firmwares anymore and this has got me worried. Below is a list of my saved firmware signatures:

IOS 4.4.4 (9A406a 
IOS 5.0 (9B179b) 
IOS 5.0.2 (9B830) 
IOS 5.0r1(9B206f) 
IOS 5.1 (10A406e) 
IOS 5.2(10B144b)

So if i try to restore using to (for example)  IOS 5.2(10B144b) will this be a straightforward restore or will get the shock of losing my original jailbreak. I am dreading the latter. Pls help… i need your comments.

If one does not have the saved signatures they cannot go to a firmware that’s not being signed. You have the signatures saved so you CAN go to those versions.

If you upgrade to 5.2 you will lose the 4.4.4 jailbreak, but you’ll have a new 5.2 jailbreak, you can always go back to 4.4.4 if you want. You will lose any addons you had and you’ll have to reinstall them.

Well, I should examine the shsh downloads and make sure that there are aptickets to go with the blobs…

Where can you see what shsh’s are saved?

Go to the Maintenance menu and into settings, do a backup of firmware. At the end of backing-up your firmware it will also display all your saved signatures.
