Is Infuse able to playback SDR bt.2020 files correctly?

So Toho in Japan has released a number of their Godzilla movies and Akira Kurosawa movies in SDR but using bt.2020. Recently I was watching the Godzilla Final Wars UHD from this boxset:

I could be imagining things, but it feels like the colors are washed out when played back on my LG B6 OLED similar to if I watch the same movie on my SDR computer monitor. This seems most apparent in the intro of the movie where it has the yellow Tohoscope title logo. Maybe it’s just due to a new color grade, but the yellow seems much less saturated than it appears in other movies I’ve watched that are the more common SDR bt.709 that use essentially the exact same Tohoscope intro.

Here’s also the mediainfo dump for this movie:

I can also supply a snippet of the m2ts file if that is helpful as well.

Just to add after doing a bit more diagnosing, I realized I needed to turn on the “wide color gamut” setting on my LG OLED. But even when I did this, the colors when playing back the movie in Infuse still looked more washed out than when I tried playing it in another player like VidHub where the colors looked more saturated.

Edit to add:

I’m playing this on a 3rd gen Apple TV 4K.

If you are able to upload one files for us to test we can review it here to ensure it is being handled correctly by Infuse.

Okay. I’ve uploaded a 500MB trimmed sample from the larger m2ts file called Godzilla_Final_Wars_Toho_UHD_SDRBt.2020_0.m2ts.

Let me know if there’s anything else you need.

Were you able to look into the sample I uploaded?
