IPadOS 26 Local Dimming-Like Issue - iPad Air M2 12.9”

Hello,

I am using Infuse 8.3.2 on an iPad Air M2 12.9” running iPadOS 26. I use Infuse to watch content from my Plex server. Since upgrading to iPadOS 26, I am experiencing an effect akin to TV local dimming in all HDR content.

When there are subtitles or lighting changes, the screen brightness will rapidly flicker up or down. I’ve have a screen recording of this happening but I cannot attach it as a new user. Any help would be appreciated.

You may want to update to OS 26.1 just to make sure.

Sorry, I actually am running iPadOS 26.1.

Just following up. This is still happening on Infuse 8.3.3. I never experienced this prior to the 26 OS series.

Has anyone else experienced the same?
