Hi, I have a new 2018 11inch iPad Pro and an LG B7 OLED TV. I have connected the iPad Pro to my Sony HT ST5000 soundbar via a high speed usb c to HDMI cable that is supposed to handle a 4K 60Hz signal (see here: UGREEN USB C to HDMI Cable 4K 60Hz Thunderbolt 3/Type C to HDMI Cable UHD Braided Aluminium Alloy Compatible with MacBook Pro, iPad Pro/Air, Galaxy S22, S21/P30, Huawei P40 etc. (3 m) : Amazon.de: Electronics & Photo ).
But when I try to play a movie on infuse it won‘t let me select above a 1080p resolution! I select the 4K resolution but when I go back to the previous screen, it changes back to 1080p.
Please help! I want to play my 4K HDR content and can‘t make it work!

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the report.
We’ll look into this and see if we can get it fixed up.

Quick update.
We’re still looking into this, though it seems there may be some compatibility issues with certain USB-C/HDMI adapters.
Stay tuned…

I have the same issue with this one, though it seems to output 4K ok from MacBook, but won’t go over 1080p from 2018 iPad Pro
It would help if you would post the manufacturer and model number instead of an Amazon link since their info can change for the same link.

Apologies if that’s a rule on this forum, was just following on from the OPs original post.
It’s a UNI USB-C to HDMI Cable - no model number.
Listed as supporting 4K @60hz

Not a rule, just trying to make sure that the part you are asking about remains constant since Amazon can change what part they sell from that link.

The bottom of the page that you linked to gives the Manufacturer as UNI and the model number of UNICHDMIM01
The manufactures web page for this is uniAccessories | uni®
This way if Amazon changes the model or manufacturer on their page you can still refer to the one you are asking about.

Hi, just an update from me on this - from reading other threads, it was recommended that the Belkin USB-C to HDMI Adapter (Dolby Vision) was used, as this was the only one that supports HDR, so I bought this, as well as a Belkin Ultra HD HDMI cable. I expected the problem to be solved, as I have seen that updates to Infuse have been released that claim that this issue has been fixed.
However, no such luck, unfortunately. When I select 720p or 1080p as the external screen resolution, that selection is ticked and I can see it when I go back to the previous settings screen. However, for 4K, the selection is ticked but as soon as I go back to the previous screen the selection is no longer shown. When I click back into the external screen resolution setting, no resolutions are selected.
Any ideas?

I don’t have a horse in this race but I found this that may have some clues Here's everything you can do with the USB-C port on 2018 iPad Pro
