iPad Infuse HDMI to LG G4 DV/HDR is black screen

Hi, I brought a UHD remux to someone’s house to play on their TV (LG G4 65”) using my 12.9” iPad Pro (iPadOS 17.6.1) and Infuse (7.8.2, 4948). I connected the iPad to the G4 using a UGreen HDMI 2.1 cable. The LG would display the iPad UI fine, but when I played the movie from Infuse, the LG went black but there was still audio. Also, the video plays fine on the iPad itself in Infuse if I unplug the usb-c to HDMI cable.

I tried looking at display settings on the iPad and toggled HDR and DV mode for the external display, and neither helped.

This file is a recent remux with HDR10 and DV (profile 8.6).

Any idea what happened here? We were never able to get the movie to play correctly.

Did you try testing Dolby vision content from something like Netflix?

I did not, but I am getting the same TV soon and will have opportunity for more troubleshooting.

I believe LG TVs have an HDR mode that needs to be enabled for each HDMI input. With this off you may get strange results when trying to play HDR or DoVi videos via HDMI.
