The whole reason I use(d) Trakt was because it supported bringing watch history and progress across different apps and devices, allowing only 1 connected app at a given time is a major downgrade and not suitable unless subscribing to VIP. Hope to see SIMKL support in Infuse as an alternative.
SIMKL is planned for the next update! No one can wait, but don’t worry, it’s coming
!!
Don’t get folks wound up too much, it’s not the next release (8.5) it’s currently shown in the 8.5.1 ![]()
When did it get moved? It was in the 5.0 when I checked July 12.
I had this feeling of relief ever since seeing that and that feeling just went away.. 5.1 is too long, come one firecore pleeeeeeease
What about mdblist?
Removing passwords is a good thing.
Everything else they did, no lol
Excited for simkl support!
Yup, Cant wait to try the SIMKL Watchlist sync…
Its always better to have an alternative backup to have our watchlist saved…
I am more curious what type of features would the SIMKL integration have, like will it support:
- Scrobbling
- Watching/Checkin history
- Watchlist (plan to watch, watching, hold, dropped, etc)
- Custom lists
- Rating sync
- Rewatch tracking
- Any special feature for the Anime fans.
But yeah, finally SIMKL integration is going to be added in the 8.5.1 release
Instead of my password manager autofilling the credentials and logging me in within 5 seconds, I now have to wait for the email to come through and then click the link. Just feels backwards imo.
If they wanted to move away from passwords they should’ve implemented passkeys instead.
Looks like it’s now been moved to 8.5.2
NOOOOOOOOO!
I get it though there have been a lot of bugs reported on from the 8.5 thread that they need to prioritize.
Looks like we might have to wait for few more weeks.. ![]()
So We all don’t have to pay for Trakt as it’s useless on free tier now with only one Third party Trakt login.
I moved your post to an already running suggestion for this feature.
Looks like it got delayed again. I can’t wait for this feature. I really hope Firecore is just ensuring it is perfect and they haven’t abandoned it.
I wish I could give this another +1.
Looks like, SIMKL got delayed again was expecting it in 8.5.1 now its after 8.5.2
Well, Its good that they are working on fixing other important problems and issues first ![]()
I selfishly would rather SIMKL integration than any of the bugs they’re fixing.
It was expected in 8.5, then 8.5.1, now it’s 8.5.2. Wanna bet that next it will be pushed to 8.5.3? At this point, it almost feels that trakt is paying them not to add any other services, to force users to pay them.
Yeah mate idk if you checked but its not a part of 8.5.2. It’s already been pushed back to 8.5.x which I kinda agree is starting to get a little ridiculous now.
