Also @james would love to hear your thoughts in this request, SIMKL was requested since 2017 and clearly it has a lot of traction (especially with recent developments). Is there any exclusivity agreement with Trakt of some sort? We deserve to know at this point and it would be great if you could clear the air. Thanks

Regardless, this thread has really only received traction since 2023, and a ton more once trakt changed their free plan and website. Also, there are thousands of suggestions and everyone hopes that they will implement everything. Don’t get me wrong, I want this to be implemented too, but there are also many others that I have on my list and cared about for much longer.
My bad, the source i check showed the first list date as that it’s typically accurate but may be wrong. I’m not saying they need to implement now or ever, at all. I’m saying for them to address it at all 'we’ll consider it" , “it’s not a fit for us” a million ways to say yes, no or maybe.
I get there are other suggestion and everyone wants theirs implemented and different things would get different priority. There should be a formula they use internally that uses age of request and demand of request. The company i use to work for had one.
Even if we go back to traction date of 2023 still a long time for not a peep. I think that’s what people and myself are looking for.
We know trakt dosen’t communicate except to tell you how they are making it worse and that being the case is going to lead to the need and demand for any other way to initiate a solution that much more. There is also a request for additional x-call back that could potentially aid in fixing this via other methods. Just seems odd the best player would only let you use what’s becoming the worse service.
Plus in the past @james and @NC_Bullseye have been good about chiming in so seems its not a stretch to want or ask that here.

since trakt is now abandonware corpo slop bought out by some annoying guy, can we please also remove the trakt rating from items? Or have the option to remove it?

I am really looking forward to this. I dropped Trakt about a month ago. Had been using it alongside Simkl with my Plex server. I am finding Simkl much easier to use.
Really hoping to see the Scrobble and checkin feature of SIMKL, to be implemented!
