Installing ATV Flash on a virgin 2.3.1 Apple TV

Do I need to take any extra steps when installing ATV Flash (the latest 3.5.5) on a virgin ATV 40GB? Never hacked before. I’ve been doing it on a 160GB for a while and I remember having to do a certain step if it was the first time but not sure if this is still the case.

Actually you can just run the aTV Flash application on your Mac or PC and create the USB stick. Be sure nothing is on the USB stick since it will be erased. You can leave the 40GB Apple TV the same so that all your media will still be there after the patch.
