InfuseSync plugin for Jellyfin

When I just set up a new Jellyfin server and tried to connect Infuse in Library mode, I checked the box for “Install InfuseSync plugin” but the plugin doesn’t seem to get installed. Infuse on iOS (on some devices (but not all, I don’t know why) still tells me to install the InfuseSync plugin for faster syncing (on the settings page → Library)

When I look at the plugin catalog that comes with Jellyfin ‘out of the box’, it doesn’t seem to include the InfuseSync plugin, so is that why the plugin can’t be installed automagically by Infuse? I see that you can add the Firecore repository (instructions here: InfuseSync for Emby and Jellyfin – Firecore Support). And then you can manually install InfuseSync. Is that by design? I thought the InfuseSync plugin used to be in Jellyfin’s own repository but if it’s not, should the app have instructions when you’re adding a Jellyfin server to add the repository manually first? Not sure if this is actually a bug or I just set up something wrong on Jellyfin.

The instructions linked above also says the latest version is 1.5.2. But when I go to install InfuseSync, I only see 1.5.1. I’m running Jellyfin 10.10.7. I see there is a 10.11 release candidate, perhaps InfuseSync 1.5.2 only supports Jellyfin 10.11 onwards? Or is my Jellyfin server not reading the repository JSON correctly or something? (Should I manually install InfuseSync 1.5.2 then?)

Thanks!

Correct, 1.5.1 is the version to use if you are using Jellyfin 10.10.

Once you update to Jellyfin 10.11 then the 1.5.2 version of InfuseSync will be available to install.
