I’m currently in the middle of adding local metadata to all of my movies and tv shows by using tiny media manager. Up to this point there haven’t been any problems, all of the shows and movies gets sorted the right way, except for a few of them.
Tiny Media Manager sorts it and gets all the data just fine, but when I add the show to Infuse, it sorts it in “other” and can’t find some of the data. The description for the individual episodes are there, but no other data gets fetched. I don’t know what to do about it?
If you remove the exclamation point and add the year Infuse will find it without a problem. Sometimes characters like exclamation points will throw things off.
I tested this naming structure and Infuse found it right away.

I have previously used the online metadata search, and with the exclamation mark, it still finds this show.
It’s when I try to add it with local data that it can’t.
Plus the exclamation mark doesn’t explain why I experience the same problem with other shows that also uses local metadata.
And to round it out, a show where it did find the first episode, and I then added the remaining episodes, it will not add those to the existing show.
I added a topic a few days ago where I asked for help regarding local metadata.
I got some of it figured out, but not all of it.
I have written local metadata for nearly all of my tv shows, and I understand that NFO files are still not supported, but we can tick the box that say prefer local pictures. Infuse does this for some of the tv shows but not all? Why is that? Plus shows that Infuse can’t (won’t) fetch for because of the no adult theme allowed, I should be able to add my own pictures here? but it can’t find those either.
When I encountered this issue it was because Firecore uses tmdb (I think - the movie database) and my meta data application was using tvdb (tv database) . Even though they are close, they are not the same. The shows that I had ending in other were mis ided in tmdb. I created an account in tmdb, corrected the issue and my metadata corrected. Something to look into.
