Infuse Sync failing after Jellyfin 10.11 upgrade/install

Hello there,

I have been using Infuse Pro for a while on Apple TV, iPad and Macs. But since the upgrade of my Jellyfin server to 10.11 Infuse fails to sync with the server on all plateforms.

Here is what I tried:

  • Restart of the server post upgrade
  • Reinstall of Infuse plugin
  • Remove Jellyfin from Infuse
  • New install of a Jellyfin server instance
  • New install of different Jellyfin servers from different docker images

I have the same behaviour on all devices and server instances (upgraded one and new installs).
If the server just booted, Infuse is able to connect but then will fail to sync.
If the server has been up for 10-15 minutes already, Infuse will fail to connect right away, even when adding a new connection.

I use my admin account, it has the max number of connection disabled.

Using the Jellyfin app on Apple TV works, so it really seems to be linked to Infuse. But I have no idea at all why it fails, especially after a fresh server install as well, meaning it’s not the upgrade that is at fault.

Any ideas? :slightly_smiling_face:

Can you check the version of InfuseSync which is currently installed? The latest version is 1.5.2.

Also, if you’re able to send in a quick report from your device (and post the code here) it may provide more insight as to what is going on here.

The latest version is 1.5.2.

I’m experiencing the same issue. I had plug 1.5.0.0 installed and getting repository errors trying to upload. Removing the plug in, restarting Jellyfin and re-configuring.

Added the Firecore repository and downloaded the latest 1.5.2.0 InfuseSync and still unable to add share. It is immediately failing when adding via IP or hostname.

I am also on the latest Infuse plugin.
I’ll try to get the logs uploaded.

Done. I sent an email from the iPad “Email us” feature.

Don’t forget

My bad, here it is:

Diagnostics: Y3T1S
Support ticket: #181298

And from the Apple TV: BA92J

What is weird is that it worked yesterday for the apple tv.

Sorry for the triple post, I did not see how to edit one.

I did some more testing and I have the same behaviour for my old Jellyfin instance upgraded to 10.11 and the newly deployed one.
If the server just booted, I am able to add it to Infuse and sync the content. Then after a while (couple hours maybe) it will refuse to sync or if I remove the share and try to re-add it, it will throw a connection error.

Like if something stops at some point preventing any sync.

I think I’m having the same problem. It’s intermittent. Sometimes it takes two or three tries to start playback. Last night it failed for so many tries I assumed it was a different problem (more consistent). That’s when I came looking and found this thread. But later it worked again, so it appears to be the same intermittent problem.

All the latest versions. Everything has been restarted.

Just a suggestion but with things getting updated very frequently you may be better off providing version numbers so that combinations of software can be duplicated if necessary.

Is everyone using the default database settings? I too had problems with synchronization. Ik could get this working again by changing Jellyfin locking behavior from “Nolock” to “Optimistic” (in config/conf/database.xml).

It’s still very slow mind you, but at least it’s working.

Tried it, and all my device still fail to sync.

I think something else might be going on that isn’t related to JellyFin. Over the past week or two, performance has taken a deep dive for me. Coming from an Infuse evangelist who’s almost never had an issue over the years.

Lately, though, I’ve noticed that streams started through Infuse’s WebDAV interface, from external apps, and even local playback are taking an unusually long time to buffer. For example, trying to play a 2GB remote, one-hour show now leaves me waiting over a minute before it starts, even though speed tests are showing 200 Mbps+.

I’ve also tested local files directly on my Mac through Infuse, and those are taking over a minute to start as well, which has never happened before. If there’s anything I can do to help diagnose this, let me know, it feels like there’s a rogue bug at play. @james

There is a performance issue related to Jellyfin 10.11 which we are looking into.

But if you are seeing slow loading times in general, you can try running a speed test to see what kind of transfer speeds you are able to get. This can be useful for troubleshooting network related issues.

AppleTV

Jellyfin 10.11.2

infusesync 1.5.2

support code: 71P8V

Will not scan shows without failing. Any solution or a way for me to access the Infuse logs from AppleTV so I can investigate my library?

Will not scan shows without failing. Seems to scan movies OK just slowly. I also see auth forbidden logs on my jellyfin server that I think are stemming from Infuse while it is syncing. Any solution or a way for me to access the Infuse logs from AppleTV so I can investigate my library?

Here is what the logs are saying on the server
