Infuse stopped working with Plex after tvOS 18 Upgrade

I’ve just updated one of my AppleTV’s to tvOS 18 to check out the new OS. I only did it on one just in case something stopped working and it looks like Infuse is having some issues with it’s support for streaming from Plex.

The Plex integration was failing to sync and would just show a message ‘Indexing failed for plex’. As this wasn’t telling me much I went to ‘Network’ and then ‘Shares’ and went to my Plex server. From here I selected ‘Speed Test’ just to make it try and access the share. It then displays the error ‘An Error Occurred. Access token is no longer valid. To access your share, please sign in again’ and presents a ‘Sign in’ button.

OK, I thought I’ll just sign-in again but you cannot actually do that as the sign in button does nothing when you press it.

Trying to add my Plex server again doesn’t work either and just fails complaining about the access token as well.

Make sure you update Infuse to 7.8.3.

It has enhancements specifically for the new OSs

Just upgraded and the problems still exist. Complains the access token is not valid and the sign in button does nothing.

Infuse works fine on my other AppleTV that I haven’t upgraded to the new tvOS, so it does seem to be a problem running on the new version.

Can you try removing the Plex connection from Infuse and re-adding it?

plex direct mode running fine for me on both my ATVs upgraded to tvOS 18.
are you using library or direct mode?

Sorry it’s taken a while to reply.

A complete removal of Plex from Infuse and then adding it again solved the problem. Couldn’t just re-signin, had to remove it and start again.
