So I’ve been trying to use infuse on my iPad 7 mini, and I’ve added my jellyfin server to it through the add files section. Made sure it had the proper port and for some reason when I just go to the home screen and try to watch something it takes forever to buffer and that only plays like 3 seconds and it’s buffering again. Downloading also takes equally as long. I ran a speed test through infuse and it says it’s only downloading at 1 to 3 mbps per second. However, when I do a speed test on my jellyfin server computer I pull about 150 megabits per second, and on my iPad I’m pulling about 200. I have infuse sync installed on my server, I’ve restarted it since I installed it, I’m running jellyfin 10.10.7, and the app version I have is 8.2.6. I can stream from the jellyfin app with no issue, but I really like infuse and I paid a year premium. I should also note that this isnt in a lan environment, I’m currently away from my computer on an entirely different network and this is what I’m experiencing.
So I just got home and found fantastic speeds on LAN, however if I go off LAN even to a cellular network, I’m finding the same slow speeds. There’s gotta be a network config thing I’m missing here, maybe a port I should forward? The default port for Jellyfin is forwarded on my network.
LAN speeds are 300-400 mbps, off LAN speeds are 3-10
My actual internet speed test is somewhere in the 100mbps up/down when I run a speedtest through Ookla and Google
There wouldn’t be a way to configure things better in either Infuse or Jellyfin for this would there? I don’t have the issue in the native Jellyfin app or Swiftfin, only Infuse
