I’ve noticed lately that Infuse seems to be acting a bit strange with intro skip feature. I have the setting on Infuse to delay and then auto-skip. Past few shows I’ve clicked it myself before the delay finishes. What I see is that it will skip to the end of the intro marker, wait 1-2 seconds, then rewind to the end of the intro marker again.
Almost seems like a duplicate execution or a “stutter”. AppleTV is connected over WiFi as it’s not possible for me to get a ethernet cable in there. Speed test in Infuse shows 700Mbps+.
Want to note that I’m trying out Jellyfin and I haven’t noticed this same behavior yet. I’m not sure what Plex could be doing is this turns out to only be present with Plex backend.
It DOES happen on Jellyfin too, but I’ve only seen it when I hit the “Skip Intro” button manually instead of letting it auto skip with delay.
So @james the behavior seems to be backend-agnostic. It does happen rarely with auto-skip on delay, but it’s very rare. When pressing the skip button manually, it backs up a second or two and skips the remaining 1-2 seconds of the intro marker. That’s why it seems to be skipping twice.
