Infuse plays a different movie out of nowhere

Infuse, Apple TV, media hosted on local Jellyfin server.

I have an issue where, seemingly at random, Infuse will start to play a different media asset while in the middle of playing one. For example, I could be watching ‘Back to the Future’, and then suddenly it would change to ‘Jurassic Park’, without any human input.

It does not back out or reveal any menus. The ‘sudden’ movie just starts playing without warning. The only thing that may be consistent, albeit I am not 100% certain, is that it plays the first movie ‘On Deck’. What I don’t know is if it’s only movies. This started happening recently after updating our Infuse app on the ATV.

Infuse App

Infuse Pro 8.1.6 (5193)

Apple TV

A2843 (128GB)
tvOS 17.3

Jellyfin

Version 10.10.7

So here’s an example of what I’m talking about.

I was watching Rouge One (naturally, after Andor S2), and suddenly this comes up

What it’s referring to is the next piece of media in the queue. In this case, it actually happens to be a TV Show episode.

I tried disabling ‘Library Mode’, I removed all the different queues on the home page, I re-installed Infuse completely - nothing helped. It wants to play the next peiece of media under ‘Watching’. This keeps happening every 2-4 minutes and I can’t finish a movie without it interrupting.

It does not occur with shows - this is only happening with movies.

I did submit diag and here’s the code: YXW8S

It may be an issue with the file itself - perhaps if it was edited or modified in some other way.

Are you able to send in one of the problematic videos we would be able to test here?

It’s definitely not a specific file. It happens to any file that I play.
I did some searching and did not find anyone else who has this issue - so I’m inclined to assume the problem is something on my end. I’m going to spin up a fresh Jellyfin container and so some testing to figure this out.
