Infuse Only Recognizes Season 1 Episode 1 After Update (Only Some TV Shows Affected)

Hello everyone,

After updating Infuse to the latest version, I encountered a problem.

Before the update, my TV show folders were named correctly and could be recognized normally. But after the update, only Season 1 Episode 1 of each TV show is displayed, and all other files in the same folder are not recognized.

I haven’t checked all my TV shows yet; I just happened to notice that Peaky Blinders and Game of Thrones have this issue. I use Infuse on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, and all three devices have the same problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Are you using the Library to browse these items or are you browsing via folders?

Are the missing items visible in other views in Infuse?

Can you check to ensure Infuse has completed its Library scan? The status for this can be found in Infuse > Settings > Library.

Hello! All of a sudden Law & Order SVU shows only 1 season instead of all the seasons. The show is visible on the Synology so it hasn’t been inadvertently deleted.

I’m using Apple TV model a1625 with Infuse 8.4.3. I deleted and redownloaded the app as I was also getting the failed to open input screen on other shows frequently on other shows, but Law and Order SVU still only shows one season.

I haven’t checked all other folders and am viewing via the folders. It doesn’t show up in the library view either. On the main page between the home page and settings, there is a moving circle.

Any help to resolve this mystery would be appreciated. I haven’t checked all the folders to see if this is happening with other shows as well.

Edited the header due to a typo and the post to add more details.

I moved your post to an already running thread with what appears to be a similar issue.

I am experiencing the exact same issue; I noticed it this morning and it’s been driving me crazy.

In my case, this is affecting anime series such as Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Kimetsu no Yaiba. When I access any of these three titles, only one episode is displayed. At first, I panicked thinking my files had been deleted from the NAS, but fortunately, they are all still there.

I have already tried the following troubleshooting steps:

• Cleared the cache.

• Refreshed metadata.

• Reinstalled the app on both my iPhone and Apple TV.

• Deleted the series folders from the NAS and recopied them.

Nothing has resolved the problem. This only happens with these three specific series; everything else works perfectly. The issue started occurring right after the latest update.

Hello, I checked in Library, Game of Thrones’ fine, all 8 seasons are displayed, but Peaky Blinders are still only 1 season 1 episode. And both still only 1 episode via folders. I believe there are more TV shows have had this problem. And I’m pretty sure the library’s completed its scan.

Are the files visible anywhere in Infuse? For example, if they are missing from the Library can you access them when browsing via folders?

You can also try browsing through the Add Files menu, as this will show all the files Infuse is able to access…even non-video files.

Are there differences in how the missing vs non-missing files are named/organized?

I access my NAS files from the files section:

And here’s the error, for example with Kimetsu No Yaiba that I have all the seasons, and it only shows chapter 1 of season 1:

I name all my series this way and I had never had problems: Kimetsu.no.Yaiba.1x01, Kimetsu.no.Yaiba.1x02,…

I have gone to the NAS and I have renamed a couple of files, changing 1x01 to 1E01, and surprisingly the problem is solved a little because all the seasons and chapters reappear, but the renamed ones are out of the seasons as you can see with a black cover

If I rename the files as I had before, I return to the same error, all seasons disappear and it shows again only the first chapters of the first season.

Should probably be S01E01 instead of 1E01.

Hello! I have been using the form 1x01, 1x02, 2x01,… in Infuse for many years and I have never had problems. It has been damaged in this latest update and only for some series

Those are one of the recommended formats.

1E01 is not.

Can you check to see which settings are enabled/disabled in Infuse > Settings > Metadata & Artwork?

These are the defaults, and the ones I would recommend unless you have specific needs.

I have the same as in the picture

The same thing happens with S01E01, I just checked it, only the first chapter of season 1 appears.

Can you provide a screen cap of the directory structure and file names of one of the series that is having problems?

On my Mac I have version 8.4.2 of Infuse and everything is displayed correctly. No mistake. I’m not going to update the app on this computer.

I always use this structure for all my series, no change between them. I’ve been like this for many years and it’s the first time I’ve had problems with Infuse:

I think I just discovered the error, I have deleted a file that is a movie by Kimetsu No Yaiba, I have it inside the same folder with the files of the series. If I re-add the movie with the files of the series, the error occurs again.

The other two series that I also have these problems, I also have movies, inside them.

In previous versions this did not fail

In version 8.4.2 there is no problem. The series files and the movie coexist in the same folder. The movie is shown next to the seasons of the series:

To fix it in version 8.4.3, I have created a Movies folder within the series and I have put the file in there. Now everything is displayed correctly. I don’t know if it’s a bug or a change in the app:

Having season folders also helps keeping things working without glitches. Especially with artwork in some cases.
