So I’m using the latest versions of Infuse Pro on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and a MacBook. Today I noticed that the macOS version has stopped syncing the watched progress altogether. For example, I’m currently watching a show and keep switching mostly between my iPad and an Apple TV, and those clients are perfectly in sync. I can stop watching on my iPad and when I switch to the Apple TV (or iPhone), I will be able to resume at the exact position where I stopped in the other device. On the MacBook, however, this won’t work anymore for a few days.
For testing purposes, I signed up with trakt, signed in to trakt inside all Infuse apps and tried to mark movies or shows as watched in trakt. Again, all the changes are applied on all Infuse clients except for the one on macOS.
It seems something is broken for me on the macOS client. Any way to troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance!
I’d start by sending in diagnostics and posting the code in here for the team to have a look at.
This has happened to me about once a year since i have been using infuse. I travel a lot and tend to watch movies on my iPad that i have downloaded and can go weeks without connecting to the internet to sync. when i finally do sometimes there is a very long lag before the Mac, iPhone and iPad all sync up correctly but somtimes it dosnt fully. I have noticed this happens if any updates on the MacOS or the infuse app are happening around the same time. It’s been a few weeks since this last happened and yes infuse on my Mac was very much affected. sometimes if go through manually clicking on what you have watched (the items that are not syncing) it will finally sync up correctly. its usually only the recently watched items so you dont have to do to many but yes it always seams like its on the Mac side that lags the longest and takes forever to show that it has synced. But it does evenly clear up
For whatever reason, the app has synced now! I didn’t really change anything, but the app just resumed its functionality. So I’m considering this as done and a random self-healing. I will keep using trakt though, maybe this will help a bit. Provides some redundancy at least, no?
