Infuse + Jellyfin + Trakt no scrobble

I am running Jellyfin with Trakt. When I play something directly in my browser in Jellyfin, I see the trakt.tv updating.

However, when I use Infuse to play data from Jellyfin (Infuse plugin is installed) nothing happens. For some reason my watch status is not synced anymore. This used to work fine. Anyone have any idea? Personally I think it’s not ideal to have to set trakt setup on every Infuse instance separately.

Is this affecting all titles or just a few? Does manually marking an item as watched in Infuse appear in your Trakt profile?

Also, can you try logging out of Trakt in Infuse and logging back in? This can sometimes help resolve issues like this.

Hi James,

It’s affecting all all content played. Nothing seems to be syncing anymore. Even the watched state, etc. From what I can see in the Trakt history it stopped working after April 17. I hadn’t noticed, until yesterday. It was never a problem.

I re-installed the Infuse add-on. I unregistered the device at Trakt. Removed the Trakt add-on, re-installed it. Reauthorized it too, but no luck.

Like I said in the opening post. As soon as I open content directly in Jellyfin in my browser, I have no issue with Trakt. It instantly shows up as watching and states are synced. It only does not show and update when playing through Infuse. :frowning:

Are you logged into Trakt in Infuse? This is required in order to send your Infuse watched history to Trakt.

Hi. No I am not. I let Jellyfin do the syncing to trakt so I have one system. Otherwise I need to login in every Infuse installation.

This used to work just fine.

I think Infuse or the plugin has an issue. Even when I set something as watched in Infuse, it’s not synced to Jellyfin either.

Ok, in that case Infuse would not be involved in sending data to Trakt.

Infuse would sync your watched history to the server and the server/plugin would handle sending info to Trakt.

If you are not seeing things update on the server this would be a separate issue. Are you using multiple users on the server by chance? If so, are you logged in with the same user in Infuse and the web UI?

:frowning: I see I was logged in as the wrong user. Complete forget about the different accounts. Switching the account solved the problem. Feel so stupid. Thanks for the help!

No worries. Glad you’re back on track now.
