I’ve been using infuse for quite a bit now. I very recently switched back to Plex after having tried Jellyfin for a little while. But I’ve noticed Infuse seems to be a lot slower updating/refreshing data from my Plex server than it was from Jellyfin. Everytime I open Plex, for example on my ethernet wired Apple TV, it takes a minute or 2 to refresh before I see any newly added content or anything.
I know for Jellyfin there is the InfuseSync plugin which I believe is what allowed Infuse to update and refresh Jellyfin in the background. So I’m wondering if there is a way to allow Infuse to do similar things in the background with a Plex server?
My Apple TV 4K 3rd gen and the Plex server are both wired on a 2.5Gb LAN connection. So networking shouldn’t be the issue I don’t think.
I believe @james has some speed improvements in the works. I have been testing another app in development, Rivulet, and it updates instantly upon opening. Hopefully Infuse can figure out why there is a delay.
@james I have been testing some other apps recently that also connect to Plex via their API, and each of them immediately update the continue watching row upon opening. Infuse still has a 45-60sec delay in updating for me. Wondering if this is something that is still going to be addressed?
I have connected multiple Emby servers, and there is a problem with slow data updates when refreshing the movies in the “Currently Watching” list, suspecting that Infuse only updates data after all data is ready, without using an asynchronous update strategy.
