I’m testing Remux as a Jellyfin-compatible server with Infuse 8.5.2.
The setup works up to the point where Infuse starts playback, but the video then loads indefinitely.
What I’ve confirmed:
- Remux successfully finds streams from the configured Stremio/AIOStreams add-on.
- Remux reports playback starting with client=Infuse-Direct.
- Playback method is reported as DirectStream.
- No transcoding is being used.
- The exact same media URL returned by the add-on plays correctly when opened directly in Infuse.
- The same URL also plays correctly in VLC.
- The issue occurs on both iPad and Apple TV.
- Infuse is updated to version 8.5.2.
So the stream itself is valid and Infuse can decode/play it, but playback hangs when the same stream is handed to Infuse through Remux’s Jellyfin-compatible interface.
Has anyone seen similar behavior with Jellyfin-compatible servers, HTTP redirect/direct-stream URLs, or Remux specifically?
Is there anything Infuse expects from the Jellyfin DirectStream response that could cause an otherwise valid external media URL to hang indefinitely?
