Everytime I restart Infuse I have to re-enter the password to my NAS in order to play videos or update my library. My Media is shared via smb, but the problem also exists with nfs. I tried to solve the issue by setting up the share from scratch but it didn’t help… any ideas?
It sounds like you may have left the name and password blank which will make Infuse connect in the guest mode.
Nope, I’ve set my username an Password correctly. The username ist saved, however the password isn’t.
What kind of NAS do you have?
Are you clicking on the “Save” button after you enter the info in the share screen?
Yes, I do click on save. I have a WD Mycloud. Theres no issue in macOS itself, the credentials are Stores in my keychain and automatically used when I mount the volumes.
Could you meanwhile solve the problem?
Are you also having problems with a WD MyCloud? What model and version of software?
I tested Synology WebDAV and Synology SMB… same problem
Are you following all of the steps in this users guide?
SMB and WebDAV is working, Media is found, Metadata is scraped, Playback, streaming and downloading is working… just the password is gone, whenever Infuse is restarted and I have to type it in again.
@reaper1 Could you find a solution?
Unfortunately, No
Do you have iCloud Sync enabled? If so this should keep a copy stored in iCloud which will always be available to Infuse.
You can also try performing a clean install on Mac, as this may help resolve this issue.
- Remove the Infuse app from the Applications folder
- Remove the ‘Infuse’ folder found in the ~/Library/Containers folder. (To access the ~/Library folder you can hold down the Option key and select Library from the Finder’s Go menu.)
- Restart the Mac
- Download the latest version of Infuse from the App Store
Note: If you also want to delete iCloud data you can follow the steps found here.
