Infuse connecting to TV App on Apple TV

Hi, I try infuse 6 on the new Apple TV but it seems there is no connection between the infuse App and the Build in Apple TV App.
Amazon Prime an Disney+ ist connectet to the TV App, and I use the TY App as my HUB. Why is there no connection and when will it work this way ?

there is no connection because apple is the one who has to make the connections. There is zero chance apple will allow third party apps that don’t have paid copy protected content to link in.

Thanks Jarvis, hmm if you look here:

There are seven Service like Infuse in several country’s. So there IS the Option to connect Infuse to the TV App.
Probably no-one from FireCore has tried it.

Infuse is not a service, it doesn’t offer any content to stream. The Infuse user provides all of their own content. Not an Apples to Apples comparison. (Pun intended)

It’s a media player, not a streaming service that provides commercial content.

Not sure what more light you want but as a media player without DRM there is little to no chance that apple would even consider adding it to the Apple TV app.

I hoped for a Staff Statement that said something like: Hi Chris, we tried this an Apple said no, so there is no chance, sorry

Hi Chris, good point, we don’t have that in mind but your right. We will talk to Apple I try to setup a connection to the TV App if there is an chance.

There isn’t anything in the API that a user can use to “connect into” Apples TV app. It requires tight integration with apple and they are only using it to tie into streaming partners. You can fire up Xcode and try for yourself.

Thanks Jarvis, I know that. WE as User can do nothing. That was the reason for my request.
I want to get a answer from Firecore if they have tried the connection and Apple refused it, or if the DO NOT tried the connection till today.
YOU an I (and all the other User) can do nothing.

It was possible that someone ask this question before and there was an answer from Firecore that I don’t know. So you or someone else know the answer from firecore. :slight_smile:

I think they meant to say there is nothing a developer can do to integrate into the Apple TV app. It is only Apple that can include them.
