Infuse Apple TV forgets plex media server time after time

I have plex connected with Infuse as well as separate SMB for home videos. Somehow, after a day/couple of days the connection with plex to Infuse on my Apple TV seems to get lost. I have to reconnect and reauthorize to get it to my plex server. This doesn’t happen for my phone or iPad. After reconnecting the same happens after a day again.

I have no idea why this is. Does anyone have an idea how to resolve this? Infuse does not seem usable for me this way unfortunately.

It used to work perfectly but somehow it doesn’t work anymore.

The Apple TV will manage the on-device storage and delete app data if it senses you are running low on space. You can use the Cloud Backup feature in Infuse to ensure your libraries and server connections can be automatically restored if/when this happens.

Hi James,

Many thanks but I don’t think that could be the problem. My Apple TV 4K has 32 gig storage and only uses a fraction of that. See attached screenshot of the storage.

Could it be something else? Is there maybe a way to send diagnostics after it happened? I really like Infuse and want to continue using it, but for that I really need to solve the constant reauthentication of the Plex server :).

The clearing of metadata happened all the time on my ATV4k with 32G. The cloud setting made it a non issue most of the time. There are many older threads discussing this and how many things impacted the reloading such as the apple screen savers, and larger library’s. Our new ATV4K with 128GB hasn’t blinked once.

Looking at the memory where you are showing is only the app, not the support files I belive.
