Infuse App Not Updating When New Files Added

Hi, I have recently updated Infuse on iOS to version 18.0.1 but since then, every time I move movies or TV series files from the Files app to the Infuse folder, they don’t show in the Infuse app?
Usually they would show in Recently Added but this doesn’t work either? I have checked the Infuse folder and I can see the files i have added, it’s like the Infuse app isn’t recognizing anything I throw at it. I have cleared metadata and reinstalled the app but still nothing. I haven’t made any changes to settings etc so baffled as to why this has started happening since the upgrade.
If anyone can assist I would be eternally grateful!

I believe that Infuse uses the creation date/time of the files (rather than actual date/time added) when determining which files should be displayed in the newly added.

So if the files being added have an “old” creation date they won’t be displayed in the newly added section.

Are you using the “Direct” mode with a server like Plex or Emby or “Library”?

The files I am adding aren’t showing anywhere in the app. Even if I try and search for them they don’t appear? Getting quite frustrating now :frowning:

No server. I just download movies/tv shows from the net (naughty naughty!) in Safari and save to the Files app then select them all and move them to the Infuse folder. Been working perfectly until I updated to 8.0.1.

On the library screen in settings are you seeing any error messages and has it finished syncing with a last synced message?

Not seeing any error messages. Refreshed metadata and still not picking them up. Tried syncing but to no avail.

What message do you see on the bottom of that screen?

I must admit I don’t normally use your method for getting files into Infuse.

However I have just tried using the Files app on my iPad to move a TV episode into the Infuse folder and it plays fine from the Files tab in Infuse without problem. I’m using Infuse 8.0.1 / iPadOS 17.7.

Am I correct in thinking you are saying that a moved file isn’t appearing in the Files tab in Infuse on your iPad/iPhone?
[Trying to confirm you have an issue with it not appearing in Infuse at all, and not just not appearing in the Recently added]

Also on my IPad the moved files showed up in the Recently Added section.
I don’t usually use Recently Added … just use the currently watching list, so I had to turn it on.

So I don’t know why your iPad/iPhone is behaving differently.

Correct. Whatever I transfer to the Infuse app doesn’t appear any more in the Infuse app. As mentioned before, this has only started happening since the upgrade to 8.0.1.

If you go to settings > add files > documents. do you see them there? If you add them there do they then show in Infuse?

Just tried that and still no joy :frowning:

Finally! The metadata wasn’t deleting so I reinstalled the app once more, deleted the metadata which has now gone and it’s now scanning ALL the missing files.
Thanks for everyone’s prompt help with this. Very much appreciated.
