I noticed that the skipping (pressing left/right on the remote control) changed.
In Infuse 7, when I pressed the “skip forward (on the remote’s ring)”, the movie jumped 10 seconds ahead and then continued
Now (Infuse 8), when I press “skip forward”, I end up in the pause screen and can only see on the time bar where I would jump to, but without any preview. And I have to press “play” to continue. For me, this is confusing, and also more complicated than just pressing 2 or 3 times the remote to skip 20 or 30 seconds
I would like to get the Infuse 7 behavior back, as I think this is what most other users also would prefer.
Check your settings and make sure you still have turned off “Chapter Control” and then make sure you have “10 Seconds” selected in both “Forward Skip” and Backward Skip".
I had “Chapter Control” turned off. But turn it on and then turn it off again worked 
Still a little annoying: for a brief moment, I get the video overlay (would prefer not to have it, just skip 10 seconds)
It would be really nice if Infuse could handle short and long button presses:
Things like
- short press → skip 10 seconds
- long press → jump to next chapter
[Edit] Just learned that the long button press triggers “Fast forward”
