Extras, deleted scenes, trailers, and more is not work for S00EXX
Can it be fixed?
Custom ‘fanart’ artwork has stopped working for me.
I upload my movie, xml file, and a regular thumbail image as well as a second ‘fanart’ version, and all work but the ‘fanart’. I either get a still from the video, or a blank image.
I’ve checked and recheck all my filenames, and they’re correct.
This is only happening with fanart I’ve uploaded since the recent update, everything before then is working.
Can you check to see if the ‘Prefer Local Artwork’ option is enabled in Infuse > Settings > Metadata & Artwork? This is a new setting added in 8.4.
HI James, yes it is.
The ‘poster sized’ artwork is fine, it’s only the version with the ‘-fanart’ suffix that won’t display.
Hi James, a quick update, I think I’ve solved it, or at least found the culprit.
I’m using Pixelmator for the first time, and I’ve been using the standard export preset to generate the images. Instead I exported the same images manually (although using almost identical settings) and they updated in Infuse immediately.
Very peculiar.
Agree with that point. I generally let Infuse pull metadata from TMDB but I have some shows with local artwork and NFO metadata (specifically shows where I want to use an alternate episode order. Ideally, it’d be great to have the option to select one in Infuse directly). So I was surprised to see those break. I had to look for the Prefer Local Artwork/Metadata toggles and enable them on all my devices, iPhone/iPad/Mac/Apple TV. It would make more sense to have them enabled by default. If someone went out of their way to add local artwork/metadata in their library, it’s probably because they want to use them (and it makes it so Infuse doesn’t need to do the network requests to TMDB).
