Hi James, could you please explain what the different options for intro skipping do?
Thanks ![]()
There are a few cases with Plex where streamed extras are shown. These cannot be played outside of the Plex apps and they will be hidden in the next update.
There may be a delay between when marker details are added to the databases and they are available in Infuse.
Sure. ![]()
Thanks! one last question, Could you share which movie the team used to test this feature so I can try it on my end as well?
Thanks for clarifying ![]()
If you just now submitted and got a marker approved, I would imagine it will take up to a day for the backend to register this update. Try again later.
@BucketBuckets Yeah, that’s what I figured. I was just a bit skeptical because The Simpsons has a lot of markers, and I’m assuming those were approved days ago. So I’ll wait and try again later.
Would it be possible to add highlights for the auto skip features? It would be helpful to see if/when it’s working on the timeline without manually skipping each time for testing. Thank you for these features!
I tried it on stranger things (since there were more submissions on theintrodb) and it worked perfectly.
Is PiP working for anyone? I am on 26.4 iphone 17 pro max.
I love that we now have support for extras… that’s brilliant! But…
I have lots of extras along side movies on my Plex server. Unfortunately, when I view those extras in Infuse, below “Cast and Crew”, they show up in triplicate. This is not an isolated case, every single extra I have shows up 3 times. Any idea what’s happening?
I see, well in my case are all of them ![]()
This is a great update! I’ve been eagerly awaiting support for extras. I haven’t had a chance to play around with it much, but it looks like I may need to reorganize how I’ve got my extras currently arranged.
With that being said, there’s still one big feature that is still missing, and that is support for alternative TV episode orders! There are a number of TV shows (Freaks and Geeks, Firefly, Undeclared, just to name a few) that were aired out of order, but properly ordered on DVD. Unfortunately, Infuse only pulls the aired order from TMDB, even though TMDB does offer alternate orders.
Nice update, however where’s SharePlay?
It would be the killer app if it had this.
Unfortunately automatic skipping doesn’t work but it remains to be seen whether this will work as the database grows larger. In any case, logging into TIDB doesn’t work because no activation code is returned.
Unfortunately, the fact that extras are now on the details page has not worked out well. No descriptions are displayed, and if there are a large number (e.g. Doctor Who) it becomes totally confusing.
If you change the Extras folder to Season 0 or Season 0, Infuse reverts to the previous behavior and displays Extras on its own details page again.
great update, thanks!
one question regarding the intro skipping, i’ve setup Intro Skipper plugin on my Jellyfin, will Infuse prioritize markers received by Jellyfin or will it now only trust & use IntroDB and TheIntroDB? how does things work in this case?
Nice update, especially the Skip Intro feature. I’ve already found two shows where it works: Game of Thrones (complete series) and The White Lotus (Season 1). I’m looking forward to it being expanded further.
How do you ensure that the timestamps match the specific release? For example, HDTV, WEB-DL, and Blu-ray versions can have different timings.
I’ve the same question but for Plex: will Infuse use Plex then, if not found, it’s own intro/credits detection?
I was curious how you handled extras for TV shows, since besides the “Specials” folder, you can have Series/Season/Episode extras. Bravo
I wouldn’t mind them in a different order (like behind the scenes and deleted scenes ahead of other and interview).
And then I found out Plex wasn’t recognizing some Season 2 extras, even though they were named exactly like some Season 3 extras. It’s not you, it’s them
A simple rename/refresh solved that.
@james I tried playing Game of Thrones, but I’m not seeing the Skip Intro option on my end. Google Drive works for this?
@james Will Infuse (Pro, if it matters) use third-party skip data even when using Jellyfin in Direct Mode?
I would like to enable auto-skip, but in my use case I only want the media segments provided by my server to be considered. All media on my server is manually marked with chapters before being added and has media segments created by the offical Jellyfin “Chapter Segments Provider” plugin. If I have chosen not to mark something as an intro/recap/credits/ad it’s deliberate and means that content should never be skipped (whether automatically or by showing the button), and I do not want third-party data used to override that.
Pending clarification I’ve turned skipping off to prevent any potential external data lookups, but this of course prevents even the server provided segments from working leaving Infuse less functional (for me) than before the update.
Thanks!
