I’d prefer original subtitle brightness with option to reduce not the other way around.

But isn’t that already the case? The subtitles are always at the original 100% brightness and anyone who wants to can reduce the brightness.

Notice how you can barely read the subtitles at 25%.

I’d say it’s completely normal that with 25% brightness it’s difficult to read the subtitles…

It’s different on SDR content. It goes down linearly with the video brightness.
