Nope. That’s been broken for me since forever. That only works outside the App when I have it pinned to the top row of icons on the AppleTV. So inside the app I have to manually change it to either Recently Added or Watching, based on what I want to find quickly. In this example I have Recently Added selected. Doc has no episodes watched. Dancing with the stars has one episode unwatched. The status bars on the Recently Added section are non existent for both. That can’t be the intended result. How will I know without clicking into the folder if the episodes have been watched or not?
I see what you’re saying tho. The bar only shows up if an episode is in progress to be resumed in that top row. But for ever other section that isn’t the case. Thats wild. Like with Dancing with the Stars in this Unwatched Tv Shows section:
If you go into settings and under General > Up Next List and turn off “Watching” and have “Recently Added Only” that should give you what you’re looking for.
Also before you do that if you swipe to the far right it should show recently added after it shows the Watching section.
Same issue on iPhone and iPad as well. Stops at Shadow Force and goes no further to the left. And that’s the last show in the Watching section, so the Recently Added section never shows up. Maybe I have too many shows, Lol.
Late to the party with updating to tvOS 26, but I wanted to share some feedback on the Apple TV liquid glass design. Overall, I really like it, but having every season selector displayed as a liquid glass button (as shown in the picture) feels a bit visually overwhelming; it makes the screen look crowded and, in my opinion, doesn’t look as polished.
Also, as someone mentioned in a different post, I too miss the ‘Infuse Orange’ on the play button
I was havingthe same problem with my computer and Apple TV. This was my solution. As for why it caused this, I think it might’ve been the updates but so far it’s working well. It will tell you in the link.
