Why did you guys remove the Liquid Glass player buttons UI ? I actually made a mock up a few weeks back that would match those buttons and the UI more closely.
Previously, there were Liquid Glass effects around both the center buttons and playback scrubber bar. When a video was playing and the onscreen controls were visible there was a high volume of moving blurs which IMHO was a bit distracting. Also, the seek bar being glassed had an impact on subtitle readability.
Note: Apple also does not glass the seek bar in their player.
In many ways apps are still figuring out what to do with Liquid Glass so this may not be the final stop but I do believe it is an improvement.
I’m having trouble with my liquid glass. I was told this is automatic, but none of my devices are really showing anything translucent and some don’t show it at all. I’m not seeing mine as Glass like as yours. the first two are of the phone. The second is on the Apple TV and the last one is my Mac.
15 pro I had liquid glass disabled, but even when I turn it back on, it’s still does not havethe clear look of the play button like it does in your picture of the sandbox
The iOS look is correct, it looks like that now, the play button no longer has that clear look, it’s now gray. If you look at the 3 dots at the top, you’ll see that it’s in Liquid Glass.
As for the Apple TV, your model is the 4K 1st gen and that model doesn’t support Liquid Glass, only the 2nd and 3rd generation Apple TV 4K support Liquid Glass.
Watched indicators appear to be broken in the Recently Added section on iOS, iPadOS and TvOS.
Diagnostic code: RP397 (TvOS)
Happens randomly across the entire Recently Added top section. The cover folder and progress bar do not accurately display the watched progress of the items in the respective Tv show folders.
Oh I meant the first version you had implemented, Apple and YouTube still use the same UI (the big circle Liquid Glass tabs when watching a movie) that’s why I made the mock up of the press play button to match the UI of the Liquid Glass player, please consider my mock up if you ever bring back the Liquid Glass tabs that was three before the recent update as it matches better with the UI, also if possible perhaps enstead of removing and changing the UI it would be better to add the new changes as a option, similar to picking a theme this way you still give us options. The Liquid Glass design has definitely made the UI look better so thank you for implementing it and thank you for all the work you put in to the app, I’ve been a pro member for years
The first pic shows the first four shows in the Recently Added section. The pics below that show the folders of those shows, which have episodes watched and some unwatched. The progress bars aren’t visible on the Recently Added section at all for some shows which have episodes watched and unwatched for some shows like DWTS, LHHA and Doc. This happens for the entire top row of shows.
In this example, Gen V is the only show which has a progress bar in the Recently Added section, which corresponds to the amount of watched and unwatched episodes in its folder.
