Infuse 8.1.4 now available

Infuse 8.1.4 is now live! :raising_hands:

NEW

IMPROVED

FIXED

*Note: A STRMLNK file is a versatile format which can be used to build a library of lightweight text files, each containing an HTTP link to a video title on an external service (such as Netflix, Apple TV+, YouTube, etc…). Adding these files to the Infuse library will allow browsing of both owned and streamed videos in a single place.

External videos would appear with an ‘Open’ button and clicking this will direct to you the specific 3rd party app for playback.

More information on using these files can be found this guide.

Awesome! Do added .STRMLNK files support Trakt integration?

You would be able to use the manual features such as marking things as watched and submitting user ratings to Trakt, but Infuse would not be able to read playback progress from 3rd party apps so automatic scrobbling and playback progress tracking are not supported.

Crazy that you guys fixed the cast/crew list so quickly, but I wish you guys had the ability to add the actor’s entire filmography/biography like Plex does and not just whats in our library.

There aren’t any immediate plans to add this, but it could be something added in the future. You can follow this thread for updates.

I welcome the efforts to speed up iCloud, but I haven’t noticed any noticeable improvement so far. While I’m not sure what sync speeds are technically possible, I think it would be worthwhile to consider integration with other cloud services like pCloud." I really love Infuse, but one thing that bothers me is how long it takes to sync.

I’m guessing they tweaked a few minor things in 8.1.4 but the real noticeable changes will be in 8.1.6

Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:
