thanks for temporary 2x playback speed James.
is there is a reason as to why the Mac playback control ui is not the same as the new control ui on iOS and other devices?

Hi. Is the issue of deleting files resolved yet? Been there since Ver 7.8 and still there?

Any support for Apple’s new anamorphic widescreen options?

For now, the macOS version has retained controls that are similar to QuickTime.

This update does not include any changes in this area.

Apple is working to add some new options in this area, but as of right now they seem to be rather limited.

Yes I understand that Apple has these limited (for anamorphic lens users only, such as myself) in their most recent beta. What I’m asking is if Infuse on the AppleTV will support these widescreen options?

As an example, if I choose a 21:9 aspect ratio in the AppleTV’s menu, when I play a widescreen movie via iTunes or my library on Apple, it will do an automatic stretch/squeeze as appropriate for my anamorphic lens attached to my projector so that the image on screen displays correctly. It does this all automatically based on the widescreen option you choose.

It also renders the menu/GUI to account for the new widescreen format. It will also pre-squeeze 16:9 content to account for the anamorphic lens being in place.

When I try to play a widescreen movie with Infuse from my ripped media, this automatic image squeeze/stretch does not happen. I am asking if you can make this react in the same manner as when I play iTunes widescreen movies?

To do this previously this required a very expensive video processor such as a madVR Envy or Lumagen Radiancce Pro if we wanted auto aspect ratio. It would be a Godsend and HUGE money saver if Infuse could take advantage of this Apple widescreen aspect ratio feature!

Hi James

Any news on the problem with correcting the subtitle placement on Infuse/Apple-TV, so that it corresponds to previous versions like vers. 6

When using the setting - 3 for scope movies the subtitles ends up (or rather down) to close to the bottom of the image compared to ealier versions of Infuse.

Would be much appreciated if this could be fixed, so that I can skip the old vers. 6 and begin using the latest.

Thanks.

Best
/Jacob

With TV content, In previous designs I thought we could see both the details line with hrs and mins, date, rating, format AND the line with all our episode thumbnails/episode titles ALL together on one screen without having to keep scrolling up and down. We can either see one of those lines or the other. Can that screen be designed to show both?

Same applies to the movie detail screen, in order to see the title with the cast headshots.

Can you add haptic feedback for this like YouTube?

Any update on Plex crashing multiple times per day with Infuse 8? I’ve already removed everything from the home screen and it still doesn’t help. Last night for example, I was watching some 4K TV shows and then went to the other room with my other AppleTV and tried to watch a 1080p show and Plex had crashed.

To resolve I have to quit Plex and start it again. Then restart Infuse and all is well again for a little while.

This never happened before Infuse 8. Plex was running for months without issue with Infuse 7.

Hey :v:t2: I have the problem that the symbol at the top right no longer moves when you click on it. You can only see that something is happening in the Library setting. I have this on all devices, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV.

I somehow prefer these over the iOS ones. :dotted_line_face:
