Infuse 7 on Apple TV 4K still can't play VIDEO_TS folder (DVD)?

Hi, I’m new to Infuse 7 Pro for a couple of days. I like the app, but I am surprised that no VIDEO_TS format can be played, neither on tvOS nor on iOS. This can’t be due to a menu structure, as even privately created home movies are affected. Competing products such as MrMC have no problems with this.

My configuration is:
Infuse Pro 7.3.2
tvOS 15.2
iOS 15.2.1

VIDEO_TS folders have actually been supported in Infuse for quite some time.

However, some streaming options (UPnP, DLNA, Plex, etc…) will not support these.

What type of device are you streaming from? Do you know the connection type you are using?

I use Apple TV 4K with latest update. Via LAN.
I have many DVDs of TV series. My wish would be to be able to select the desired episodes via the DVD menu. This would be best if Infuse could read the *.iso file. Is this already possible via VIDEO_TS?

Hi James, I‘m using Jellyfin connected via NFS.

I‘m afraid you are right, just found out that Jellyfin doesn‘t support VIDEO_TS folder (yet).

I use VLC Media Player on my Apple TV (Official download of VLC media player, the best Open Source player - VideoLAN
“VLC is a free and open-source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files as well as DVDs, Audio CDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.”
Give it a try.

That‘s true, I tried this out before. It‘s a way out to play those films on ATV, but no real solution for playing these out of the infuse GUI.

Yes VLC works perfectly. One click on the *.iso file. the DVD menu opens and I can select my desired episode. That’s what I wish for with Infuse…
