Hey all, just want to be absolutely certain, infuse 6 pros thumbnail downloads have broken for me. Anyone else having this issue? Funnily enough I found Infuse 5 pro in my previous app purchases in the App Store and thumbnails work fine there!
A kind chap from Firecore support confirmed to me that some changes in the way that metadata is pulled broke with iOS18 and that it won’t be resolved since version 5 and 6 are no longer supported.
My question is basically if this is certain? I would just use Infuse 5 but that doesn’t store films in the iPadOS file manager. Sad day for me.
Righto, thanks for confirming, James. I’m not one for subscriptions, but I’ll keep an eye out to see if there’s ever a deal on the ‘lifetime’ upgrade. Haha, maybe one day you can make an ‘Infuse SE’ for a flat fee that has a basic static feature set but just gets bug fixes!
Yeah it’s nice that it can be downloaded before subscribing to it, but it doesn’t actually play anything, just shows some well curated metadata and asks to ‘pay-to-play’. Infuse pro 6 has worked perfectly for years … until it didn’t
