Infuse 6 coming soon! (update: now available!)

We're happy to announce that we'll be releasing Infuse 6 in the first quarter of 2019! ? ? Infuse 6 will include some fantastic new features we can't wait to share with you (a sneak peak at some of these can be found here here).

Those who subscribe (monthly, yearly, lifetime) to Pro now can start enjoying all the current Pro features right away—then receive a free, automatic upgrade to v6 once it's available next year! ? If you're already subscribed to Pro, you'll also be upgraded automatically.

For those that purchased the standalone Infuse Pro 5 (paid) app, we'll have options for migrating to a subscription, or a new v6 standalone paid app. More info on these options as well as pricing will be available once we get closer to the release of Infuse 6.

Stay tuned for more info and updates!

I’m a lifetime Pro, but I also use the standalone Pro app to keep my data on while the wife uses the normal subscription app to keep her stuff on. It’s all just for watch status. The kids are out of luck to switch for their shows in the living room, so they end up using a different app. Any plans to help with this? I don’t really want to buy the standalone app, but I guess I will if I need to.

I think I will still go for the standalone pro version unless in-app purchase supports family sharing.

From v4 to v5 to coming v6, it is always painful to upgrade because you need to uninstall old app and data, then install new app:

  • kids download movies to their mobile phone, they have to download again;
  • tvOS version needs to download all metadata again, it is a nightmare when you have a huge collection thousand of movies, it took 7 hours to complete this task last time.

I tried Plex, but Infuse does not support Plex Collections, very difficult to use when you want to watch for example all Charlie Chaplin movies.

Both versions support family sharing. https://community.firecore.com/t/-/13836

I don’t use trakt and not going to use it.

But family sharing is supported in both, if you choose not to use it that way then that’s good, just wanted to make sure you knew that it is possible with the in app purchase version and so others that read your post won’t be misled.

OK, I should make it more specific.
