I use Infuse on AppleTV 4K and AppleTV HD, strictly on a local network.
I do not use Plex, Emby, or Jellyfin.
I am still running Infuse Pro 6.3.6, as I’m reluctant to add features which I don’t need, use, or want.
Is there any advantage to updating? Am I missing anything? Am I able to disable Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin features?
You can disable the features by simply not using them. The reason to upgrade is support. If you run into problems the first thing people will tell you is “update to the latest version”.
The plex, emby and jellyfin options don’t change anything on the normal Infuse operation. I don’t run any of those and I am running 6.4.8. There are several optimizations since 6.3.6 and numerous bugs fixed.
If you don’t need plex, emby and jellyfin you simply don’t use those options in the share set up.
I’d say go for it.
Thanks to both of you for your input.
Cheers.
