Infuse 2.0 - Bug Fixes

Hello,

I know Infuse 2.0 is in the works and i just wanted to ask if some of the problems ive been having if they are know ti you guys and can be fixed in 2.0.

General Suggestion

- When searching for subtitles, is it possible to have a smaller font in order to see the full name of the file?

- A way to insert metadata manually? I have a show that it doesnt find the metadata, hence i cant search for subtitles.

When the video is showing in the ipad

- Sometimes the video stops at 4 seconds (Ive tried to reproduce it, but i couldnt yet, but usually when the app is closed and the video starts from the beginning)

When using Apple TV and airplay

- Movie stops before reaching the end (it lloks like it doesnt load everything right until the end, so in movies sometimes can go up to 8 min of film to go and stop, shows usually 20 to 40 seconds and stops) Like you can see in the picture below.

[[wysiwyg_imageupload:423:]]As you can see, it stopped before the show has ended, in some show that dont have credits i usually cant see the end without turning airplay off.

- If the iPad is on standby and you press on/off button, it gives you that amazing cover of the movie/show, if i press pause (wait around 20 seconds) and then play again i get always the same error. "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later."

- If airplay is selected before you hit play, sometimes subtitles dont start, i have to press done and play again.

For now this is what i remember, once again, thank you so much for this app, the only reason of this post is to improve it and to know if whats happening to me also happens to anyone else.

Thanks for your detailed feedback.

Regarding your suggestions, we are planning to add a manual search/metadata option, and will probably be available in 2.1 or 2.2. Also, the design for the subtitle download screen is getting updated in 2.0, so we’ll see what we can do about the font size.

Regarding the playback issues, are these happening with all files or just a few? Some may be related to iOS 7, which should be resolved once Infuse 2 hits the App Store.

The playback issues happen with every file… but only in this version of Infuse, last version was ok, already under iOS 7.

Just started using Infuse 2.0 Pro. First impression is great, but I also have the issue that the video stops playing just before reaching the end (about 1 minute or so), using AirPlay. I tried 2 videos (mp4 files with srt) and in both cases the same issue, which was quite annoying.

Any idea when this could be fixed?

I have tha same issue. Every movie stops, about 8-10 min.

I have a N WiFi (150mbps) and a was try in another wifi (300 mbps) and i have the same problem.

I try MP4 and MKV file, it was buffering every time.

We’re looking into this, but haven’t had any luck replicating the issue here.

It may be a file-specific issue, and without the file it may be hard to track down.

Still investigating though…

I can also provide all the information you need.

This problem started happening for me since update for version 1.5. 1.3 was fine, 1.5 was like this.

I always use mp4 files, if they are not in mp4, i convert them with handbrake. I havent use the mediainfo thing that you guys use to find the details of the movie, but i can try and send you the details if that help. For me, it happens in every file i have.

I dont know if this makes sense of not, but i feel that with 1.3, the airplay loading was longer (when i hit pause, i could see that a bigger amount of data was already loaded) than with 1.5 or 2.0. I think also that its what makes my network share movies to stop so many times in the middle of the movie.

Let me know what i can do to help. I really wish this things would be fixed before we see new features, i think the quality of playback its more important than new features. Whats the point of all the greatest features, if when you actually going to see the movie it keeps stoping in the middle or we cant see the end without changing the pictures to the ipad/iphone?

I’m running iOS 7.0.4 on an iPhone 5 and stream to a 3rd generation Apple TV (model MD199NF/A) with iOS 6.0.2.
Till now I only tried mp4 files with srt subtitles. All of them stop (= Apple TV starts buffering) a little but before the end of the movie.

I’m not streaming the files, they are copied to my iPhone.

Let me know if you need additional info.

I have still (2.1) the problem that the video stops over airplay about a minute before the end.

I get an error that the there is a problem with the playing content…

Hi Guys,

I’ve been digging into this problem, because when it happens it’s really annoying and I might have reached the reason for this problem, however I need confirmation.

I’ve tried several combinations and it seems to always load the movie till the end when I don’t add subtitles, can anyone confirm that? Can you please watch the files that previously stopped at the end, but without subtitles this time?

Interesting…what type of subtitles are you using (your own or those downloaded from within Infuse)?
