I have i lot of .mkv film stored on google drive in three subfolders no problem for infuse to index them, put metadata on them and play them at tvos and ios 
the problems is that i also have a lot of .mov films recorded on my own video camera it is located in different folders on goggle drive, but it takes aged for the small films to start, at least 1 minute and when i leave the folder and enter it again all metadata (thumbnails) are gone again, is there a solution for that or would a convertion to mkv help?

Can you check to ensure you are using the latest 5.8.4 version which was released yesterday? This has a handful of improvements for Google Drive aimed at speeding things up.
