Indexing Failures on Jellyfin

Greetings,

I’ve started having this bizarre issue where the Infuse client on my iPhone and iPad start showing “indexing failure” after a short period of time after being connected to my Jellyfin server. This does not obviously impact my viewing experience: I can still watch my media, the progress is synced, and I can search and find the media I have on my server, but I’m worried that something unnoticeable is happening behind the hood that may become an issue in the future. I can briefly resolve this issue if I remove my Jellyfin share and then connect it again (when checking the library menu in the settings, it’ll show “Last updated: ” instead of “Indexing failed for <share_name>”) but the indexing failure comes back shortly afterward. Has anyone encountered this issue? If so, how did you resolve it?

Setup specs: both my iPad and iPhone are using the latest version of Infuse (8.1.5). I use Infuse in library mode and install the InfuseSync plugin (version 1.5.0.0) onto my Jellyfin server. The Jellyfin server itself is version 10.10.3. The Jellyfin server is running on a Windows 11 Pro system.

P.S. I just found out that there’s a newer version of Jellyfin out, so I’ll try to update to it.

If you’re using Jellyfin 10.10+ you’ll want to use the 1.5.1 version of InfuseSync.

More info on installing and updating InfuseSync can be found in this guide.

This solved the issue, thanks!
