Improve Watching Row Update Speed

When using direct, there have been a few reports on various releases that the Watching row is very slow to update.

The rows below update first in most cases while the Watching row takes around 45+ seconds to update.

Possible to address this delay?

refreshing the “continue watching/up next” row within the app is still painfully slow when using plex direct more. this is not new to this particular beta, but has been preseent for some time now.

it used to be almost instantaneous, but whatever changed now means it can take 30 seconds (or more) to update.

7P182- Took several minutes for the Watching row to update. I hit refresh a few times but it didn’t help, but after sending the report code it finally updated.

I’ve tried bot Libray mode and Direct mode, and from what I can tell, both are equally slow to update.

When I use the Plex client, the first thing it does it fetch the “Continue Watching” data, and the update is immediate. I’d sure love to see Infuse behave the same way.

On the newest build, still seeing that the Watching section is still the last to update/load after all other sections.

Using Infuse with my Plex library on an Apple TV 4k, and Plex can quickly update my library (usually within seconds). Infuse on the other hand just spins for minutes before updating. Is there any reason Infuse has to update its local library at all? Is there any way it can let Plex handle library updates and just act as a front end to play my media?

In Emby/Jellyfin, you often need to hit the refresh arrow to display new content (shows/movies) or to update if something is watched on the server. The official Emby app on TVOS, the items will update seconds after they’re changed on the server. For example, I was toggling a TV show season as watched and unwatched on the server in a web browser and within seconds the show would update the status on the TVOS Emby app. Is this something that can be done in Infuse?
