I can't connect my iPhone with mine Mac mini

Hello Everyone !!

I’m new here and would like to use Infuse for the first time
But unfortunately, I can’t connect to my Mac mini via my iPhone

I’ve got two day’s spend and gone through all the steps I should have, but my iPhone refuses to connect to my Mac mini
I keep getting the message “ Sorry , Infuse has detected a connection error “

Stept I did:

On Mac mini

  • Turn on File Sharing
  • Add the folders containing your media to the Shared Folders list.
  • Make sure SMB is enabled under Options and ensure a user is selected.
  • Ensure the correct username and password are used when connecting from Infuse, as the iCloud password may not work.

On my Iphone

  1. Open the Infuse app on your iPhone,

  2. Select Manage Add Files.

  3. Enter the username and password you use to log in to your Mac.

I have tried this maybe 50 times without success

Macos :Tahoe 26.1

Iphone : 26.1

Now the last attempt it says mine logname and password is not correct

I can use what I want it says not correct

Infuse requires that Windows File Sharing be enabled in the Mac’s File Sharing settings. If you haven’t done that, there’s a good chance that’s the problem you’re hitting.

See step 3 of the Mac section on this page:

Thanks for your reply.
I’ve tried everything you described.
No luck.
After 3 days of struggling,
Normally, this should be much easier than this.
Install the app and your username and password, and it should work.

After a lot of hard work, we’ve finally figured it out.
Thanks to my friend’s suggestion, who said my name was dots on the two O’s
and that that probably wouldn’t be accepted by software.
I put my username without dots on the O’s.
And yes, that was it.
It works.
Just a heads-up for software developers:
usernames shouldn’t have any strange characters.
