I tried to set up Infuse 6 Pro on my AppleTV4, without knowing what to do.
Now I see all movie like items on my Mac, my Synology Diskstation, and I believe also Time machine and so on. And some are even missing.
What I really want is one thing: Only the movies I stored in one volume on Diskstation.
And it would be very nice if I could see the folders and had the possibility to open them als I like.
What tot do? How to get started?

I am only interested to get it well organized on my AppleTV.

When I read this, it made me think about all the issues plus the trial and errors because I misunderstood some instructions that I had two years ago when I bought infuse for my Apple TV.
I just went back and read the getting started for pc & nas, which I use. The steps are technically correct but not simple. Pictures are not what I see, so causes some confusion.
There’s no easy way to cover all versions and possible equipment connections and services, but the info is there I agree.
It would be nice if there was a simple walk through solution for non-technical users until they learn the system.
Just giving my opinion because I do love the infuse app.
Don’t ask me how, but I managed to get it going.
It took a while before I found out that you should press and hold the button to enter the adjustments.
There is a lot to improve around the “user interface” of Infuse, IMHO.
Now, I would call it an “expert interface”

Sorry I didn’t give more detailed info, it’s difficult to judge a users Infuse tech savvy level. Glad you were able to figure things out! 
Your QuickStart Guide is aal in words, words, words.
One picture can say more than 1.000 words.
When I try to add a new stream, many times I found out it did not work.
It took me days to find out how to get rid if these faulty streams.

I tried to get the home page of Infuse in line with the streams on my Mac.
I don’t now how to do that and did not find instructions how.
On my Mac, things are now how I would like to have them.
I restarted my Mac.
On the AppleTV4 it still was a mess, so I removed the app and loaded it again.
When I try to add the streams like the ones I use on my Mac, it goes totally wrong.
All the streams I see in this list do not comply with the ones on the Mac.
Specifically: The list “Others” do not exist on my Mac anymore.
