How to reset per-series playback settings

Environment

  • Infuse Pro 8.4.8 (5690)
  • Jellyfin 10.11.11, Direct Mode
  • Apple TV 4K 3rd Generation, tvOS 26.5 (23L471)
  • All media uses mkv files; all tracks have the appropriate forced/default/etc. flags set.

Question

Selecting e.g., the first subtitle track during an episode results in Infuse overriding the default settings and selecting the first subtitle track on all subsequent episodes of that series across all synced devices.

How do I “undo” this and reset the series to the default settings behavior?

Example

  • Subtitles are set to “Forced Only” in settings.
  • I manually select a subtitle track during an episode; Infuse selects the same or nearest subtitle track index in all subsequent episodes.
  • I want to revert to the default “Forced Only” behavior, but my options are:
    • Choose “None” in any episode, which results in all subtitles being disabled in subsequent episodes, including forced subtitles
    • Choose the forced subtitle track in an episode with forced subtitles, which results in Infuse using the same or nearest subtitle track index in all subsequent episodes, including non-forced subtitles

Yeah, thats exactly what I am missing too. Sometimes you wonder why there are no subtitles: AAAh right I had to disable it in the last episode because Infuse played the full subtitle even if I have chosen to play only forced subtitles. When the next episodes has forced subtitle track it does not show it…

Just give us a reset button to Infuse playback default per season, thanks.
