How to mount AppleTV HD into my iMac

Hi,
i installed aTV Flash on my Apple TV running 2.4 software.
After that i ran Smart installer and all went well.
But i can’t mount my AppleTV hard drive via AFP or SMB into my Mac.
How can i do that ?
Thanks

Nico

Please, is there someone who can help me ?
Thanks

Nico

Dear aTV Flash support,
i bought the software because i thought it was a good companion of AppleTV features.
In this page http://www.atvflash.com/product_info.php?products_id=27, among other good features, there is that one:

Activate Direct Network Access
Eliminate the need for iTunes. Drag and drop media onto the AppleTV, or stream directly from most NAS devices. Includes support for FTP, SFTP, SSH and SMB.

So, i have an AppleTV and all i want to do is to access its Hard Drive from my Mac or Pc, trough SMB, not only FTP or SFTP.
How can i do ???

Thanks

Sorry to not reply to you sooner. You want to mount your Apple TV on your Mac or mount a share from your Mac to the Apple TV?

I tought i was pretty clear. I want to mount my AppleTv har disk on my Mac trought SMB, as you say here :http://www.atvflash.com/product_info.php?products_id=27
Thanks

Nico

I didn’t mean the question to sound like I was questioning your clarity. The reason I asked it was because the SMB portion of the Apple TV was only to go from your Mac to the Apple TV and not from the Apple TV to your Mac. I’m looking into it to see if you can share your Apple TV drive via SMB, so I’ll report back. I’ve never done it myself since I generally just use Fugu to transfer data to it.

So you can not mount your Apple TV hard drive on your Mac via SMB. You can stream files over SMB via NitoTV and/or XBMC/Boxee.

Unfortunately aTVFlash does not have a SMB server on board. You can share your Mac’s hard drive via SMB too onto the Apple TV.

Than, the aTV Flash support must change that sentence:

"Activate Direct Network Access Eliminate the need for iTunes. Drag and drop media onto the AppleTV, or stream directly from most NAS devices. Includes support for FTP, SFTP, SSH and SMB." in that page http://www.atvflash.com/product_info.php?products_id=27 because is not true!
bye

Nico

Yes it is.

You can access your AppleTV via ssh/sftp/ftp, and your AppleTV can access your computer via smb.
You can also do screen sharing.

Well no!
It’s not clear that you can access AppleTV Hard Disk via ssh/sftp/ftp ONLY!. The sentence above let everyone think that it’s possible even trough SMB protocol!
So, the sentence is not completely true.

Bye

If you have one of the original AppleTV units (purchased before October 2007) you can enable AFP to accomplish what you are trying to do.
