I think my kids set a parental control code that nobody remembers, so I’m trying to perform a settings reset (not a restore) from my jailbroken ATV2.
When I initiate it I see an apple logo with a progress bar below, but the bar doesn’t advance and the ATV2 has been in this screen for more than an hour. Is this normal to take this long?
It is the second time I try, the first I restarted the ATV with the remote after 15 minutes. Now I’m waiting to see if this is normal (before I try to discover the code one by one).
BTW, is there a faster method to enter the 9999 combinations than with the remote? I tried my ipod’s remote app, but it doesn’t seem to work for entering the code.
