So true. One of the main reasons I brought this up after all these years is because I finally enabled file management so I could delete my shows from within Infuse. I had always had it turned off because I did t want a family member (or myself) accidentally deleting a show.
I also manage my elderly parent’s Infuse setup. I want to give them autonomy to delete their watched shows.. I fear it’s going to be a disaster with the current UI. 
I don’t even trust myself. That’s why I am double checking everything.
To compound the issue if you happen to have “Auto Select Next” turned on it’s a recipe for disaster for somebody not paying attention. That’s the first setting I turned off once I enabled File Management.
This seems like a 5 minute fix. I am curious why there is a reluctance to fix the issue or is it just been pushed down in priority?

Strictly a guess on my part but looking at the number of likes on the first post it doesn’t seem to be a feature that many want.
I already had the high contrast setting set to on. Doesn’t make a difference.
With regards to the amount of “likes” of this feature, while it is a good indicator when it’s a big number I don’t think it’s a good indicator of when its small.
I didn’t even know there was an existing post about it. Plus I doubt most people know to “like” something to get it to be noticed. Hense the reminders doing it.
Back to the point, it’s a minor UI fix that will only enhance the usability of Infuse.
BTW, just this morning I almost deleted the wrong episode again. 
You also have to consider that the touchiness of the Apple Remote can exasperate the problem.
I think it was a mistake to merge this new request with the existing request: the existing request is for a more prominent highlight in general, whereas the new request is for the currently-selected episode (*or whatever items are along the bottom), if any, to be clearly visually distinct even when it’s not the currently selected user interface control.
That is, when an episode is selected yet the Play button or Trailer button is the selected user interface item, the episode tile/button isn’t highlighted — you have to visually dig through all the text above to find the bit identifying the selected episode. I too feel that it would be beneficial for the episode tile/button to retain a clear indicator that it is the selected episode. It would have to be visually distinct from the normal navigation highlight, so it’s clear that it’s what the control buttons/text/etc relate to, but that it’s not the current focus of screen navigation.

My apologies; you’re correct. I saw your comment about using high contrast mode and thought the point must be about the visibility of the highlight itself, but I should have thought to actually check the first post instead.
We just want the selected projects to be more prominent.
I just want to make absolutely sure I don’t delete the wrong episode. Highlighting that episode would be an easy fix.
